The New Enlightenment

Many of us struggle when we witness people harming themselves, each other, and nature. This behavior is hard for us to accept. Yet it is the way of things at this time. It will not magically stop. The violent nature of man will not die.

What can we do?

We can stay focused on who we want to be, how we want to live, and how we can contribute to good in the world. We can focus on how we want to participate in the new enlightenment.

The new enlightenment is no longer a practice only meant for the masters. It is one we can choose to participate in. It is a way of being which involves being present, and aware of our choices and actions in the world.

Being present is an art, a valuable life skill that we can learn. The ability to remain present in any situation allows us to become a neutral observer. As a neutral observer, we are more aware of our thoughts and behaviors. We can make choices with consciousness, and take action in a new way to create beneficial change in our lives.

The new enlightenment is the practice of revealing all that is untrue. It involves shedding non-beneficial thoughts and behavioral patterns so we can evolve into a new way of being.

We don’t resist anything because we realize that resisting is the same as connecting. What we put our attention on expands. It doesn’t matter whether it is positive or negative in nature.

The path to new enlightenment requires great discernment and discipline. We consciously choose what we want to align with, and then we stay consistent within this alignment.

Every time we unconsciously move away from this alignment, we ground and contain our energy. We clear, refocus and begin again. We do this as many times as necessary until we can sustain a conscious alignment more consistently. This becomes our daily practice, and is how we shed the old ways of being that no longer serve us.

The new enlightenment is our ability to sustain a higher vibratory presence and move in the world with more consciousness.
